Osstf Collective Agreements

Significantly, pursuant to section L5.16 Teacher Performance Evaluation, new language has been negotiated that includes a process for evaluating the performance of new and experienced TLDSB/OSSTF District 15 teachers. This document is now part of the collective agreement. The feeso/feeso provincial office, in collaboration with your local bargaining unit, wishes to keep members informed of the collective bargaining process. For members who work for publicly funded school boards and are affected by the School Boards Collective Bargaining Act (SBCBA), their contracts expire at the end of August 2019. As we approach negotiations at the provincial and local levels, we encourage members to keep abreast of this and learn more about how the negotiation process works under the SBCBA. In the spring of 2017, a two-year extension agreement was ratified by the central parties, and under the OSSTF Constitution, ratification of membership was required. The ratification vote was successful in approving the extension agreement, thus changing the central conditions for the 2017-2019 school years. With the extension agreement, the Employee Life and Health Trust (ELHT) was founded. The OSSTF ELHT is called OSSTFBenefits.

It should be noted that at the time of posting, Article L10.05 and Article L23.10(c) have not been agreed and are currently being considered by the OSSTF and OPSBA in the Central Dispute Settlement Committee in accordance with C5.2.
